This leaves me a long way short of a full team, but just two more players will give me enough for Blood Bowl 7’s so I decided to start with that. I did have this dwarf referee however who was so close to being finished that it seemed silly to leave him any longer so here he is. I’ve got some ambitious plans here, and I’m feeling confident that I’ll get at least some of it done by the end of August, but right now I don’t have anything ready to show. Truth be told I fear I may not even manage to get this month’s Cthulhu: Death May Die investigators painted for the challenge I’ve entered into with Azazel, a failure which will inevitably lead to me being devoured kicking and screaming by some otherworldly monster! Then there’s all the terrain I’m working on for the Season of Scenery being run by Dave Stone of Wargames Terrain Workshop. However, the games as they were are as good as they ever were and especially BloodBowl (just like Epic and Mordheim) proved very well over the past 10 years and more that they are very, very well without GW's 'support'.Life is certainly keeping me on my toes at the moment! I feel like I need to add a lot of things, first and foremost more BOBlockers and Blitzers. The referee looked the other way, but the fans sure didn’t. That must have ticked off the boyz somehow and they fowled two human players (just slightly knocking them out). Of course I was up against a BB veteran of old who scored two touch-downs in quick succession.

My boyz were up against a human team from the same starter box so things were pretty even on paper. (I don’t mind a bit of randomness in my miniature games at all in general) Last but not least it’s not too hard to convert BB teams from existing models of course. Okay, it’s a bit random, but to me that’s half the fun of a proper GW game. It will appeal to fans of ‘wacky fantasy’, football (I assume), more ‘serious’ boardgamers, tacticians, modellers and painters alike. The first game was quite a thing and I can confirm that Blood Bowl is an incredibly well thought out game.
